Nutrition & Longevity

Recipes for Body

As we get older, our bodies start lacking certain vitamins and minerals necessary for our overall health, such as iron, calcium, zinc and vitamin D. Supplementing our diets with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants becomes important. Replenishing our bodies with these important nutrients helps promote longevity and is a great anti-aging regimen.

You may be asking yourself "What does nutrition have to do with longevity?" Well, everything! In fact, food has been considered medicine for the body for centuries. Food is a staple of life, and the food you consume contributes to the length and quality of your life.

Believe it or not, the types of food you eat actually controls your health and how you look. Staying healthy means eating healthy, eating nutritiously. It's imperative to eat foods that are nutrient rich, foods that are high in vitamins and minerals. If you eat foods loaded with fat and sugar you will probably feel sluggish and be overweight.

Food is fuel for the body and eating more nutritious food will keep your body going longer. We all want to live longer, feel better and look good and to improve our longevity we need to be more fastidious with what and how much we eat every day.

Nutrition for a healthy lifestyle!

It may seem obvious, but eating right is one of the first steps in living a healthy life. Our diet provides the nutrients and energy we need to survive, so it makes sense to eat the right foods.  But since most people in today's hurried world don't have time to eat regular nutritious meals, it is important to supplement our diet with vitamins. It is especially important that we receive the highest quality product in a form that will be quickly and easily absorbed.   And it is difficult to obtain the necessary vitamins and minerals from food because of mineral-deficient soils that are common throughout the world today. It only takes 10 years of intensive farming to exhaust the minerals in any tract of land. The depletion of necessary nutrients by cooking and processing living foods adds to the difficulty in obtaining vital minerals and vitamins from our food.    Severe vitamin deficiencies will result in serious illnesses. Even a modest deficiency in certain vitamins, can have a profound effect on health.

Often your body will tell you what it needs. Have you ever had a craving for cookies and milk? Perhaps you body is letting you know it needs calcium. When you start feeling dried out, your body is screaming for more water.

Proper nutrition includes a balance between what is "good for you" and what "tastes good". Remember that moderation is the key on what tastes good, and eating what is good for you can lead you to feeling and looking great!

There is an infinite number of supplements, vitamins, antioxidants and herbal remedies available on the market today making supplementation easy.
